Generate Reports to Monitor Data Extract Files

Background:
- As part of an effort to promote quality data of extract files, we developed a standard SAS programs to generate various frequency distributions and statistical analyses.
Objectives:
- Designed to provide data information to view specified areas of the number of encounters, members, and the average member per encounter.
- Allows to conduct a comparison of different utilization such as the by medical center, product line, type of coverate, and other necessary variables.
- Serves as a tracking system to report the number of encounters entered, adjudicated, and total number of encounters that were in pending.
Standard Reports:
- total encounters/patients seen/average by year/month
- total pending encounters by year/month
- total encounters/patients seen/average by encounter form
- total encounters/patients seen/average by provider specialty
- total encounters by line of business
- total encounters/patients seen/average by medical group/center
- total encounters by type of coverage
- total encounters/patients seen/average by encounter form/by department ID
- total encounters/patients seen/average by encounter form/by provider specialty
- total encounters/patients seen/average by medical center/by department ID
- total encounters/patients seen/average by base plan
